What is a Brush Popper?
A cowboy's job is to move cattle across an open range. On a cattle drive, different cowboys have different responsibilities. Some cowboys stay with the herd and round up cattle on open plains. A specialized cowboy known as a Brush Popper will aggressively seek cattle strayed from the herd into thickets, thorns, and unmanaged brush. These cowboys are considered an uncommon breed, and they are highly experienced and willing to go into the brush for as long as it takes to wrangle and commandeer the unruliest and rebellious cows back into the herd and away from isolation.
Like a Brush Popper or a shepherd, we, as followers of Christ, also go out into our community to bring isolated, lost, and hurting people into a safe and loving place where they can know the love of Christ the Savior and find encouragement from other believers.

BRUSH POPPERS TO DATE

Our mission is to become devoted, committed, and obedient followers of Jesus Christ willing to act as His Brush Poppers throughout the River Region.
Brush Poppers Cowboy Chruch welcomes cowboys, cowgirls, horse folks, country folks, farmers, and anyone who is a cowboy at heart. Truthfully, we welcome everyone to worship and learn God’s Word with us in a down-to-earth, come-as-you-are setting filled with cowboy culture and the Holy Spirit.
We strive to always “ride in the light” for His brand, pursuing love, salvation, righteousness, purity, and holiness through an obedient, eternal relationship with Him. Brush Boppers Cowboy Church is founded on the words Jesus said in Luke 19:10, “For the Son of Man has come to seek and save that which are lost.”
What is our Mission?
What we believe.

The Bible:
We hold the Bible as the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, serving as the ultimate guide for our life and faith today. It is considered inerrant in its original writings and divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21).
God:
We believe in one God in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Trinity) - who are distinct yet unified in essence and work. God is eternal, sovereign, holy, just, loving, and the Creator of all things (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 10:30).
Jesus Christ:
Jesus is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for humanity’s sins, and rose bodily from the dead. Salvation is available through faith in His finished work (John 1:1,14; Romans 5:8-9).
The Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit indwells believers, regenerates sinners, empowers for godly living, distributes spiritual gifts, and guides the church in worship and service (Acts 1:8; Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11).
Humanity and Sin:
Humans are created in God’s image but have fallen into sin, making them dependent on God’s grace for redemption. Salvation is a gift of God, received by faith, not by works (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9).
Salvation and Redemption:
Salvation is through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. No human effort can earn salvation; it is entirely by God’s grace (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 2:11-14).
The Church:
There is one body of Christ, composed of all believers ordained to worship, teach, spread the Gospel, and live in unity.
Ordinances:
We believe in believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Matthew 28:19-20).
Marriage and Family:
Marriage is ordained by God as a union between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s relationship with the church. Healthy marriages are emphasized as foundational for society and family life (Genesis 2:18-24; Ephesians 5:31-3).
Eschatology:
We affirm the second coming of Christ, the resurrection of the dead in Christ, eternal life for believers, and eternal judgment for the unrepentant. We also anticipate the millennial reign of Christ and the new heavens and new earth (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:1-6; 21:1).
Spiritual Gifts:
We believe that spiritual gifts are active today. (1 Corinthians 12:7-11).
Mission and Evangelism:
Believers are called to share the Gospel, and live transformed lives that reflect Christ’s love, while evangelizing the world and nurturing believers in spiritual growth (Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20).
